We are sad to report that Christi Kent passed away April 6, 2023. She is survived by 3 sons Kent, Jeff, Logan.

Thank you to Kay Gardner Ferguson for advising our class.

We were able to find her obituary. Read below:

Christi Ann Kent passed away April 6th, 2023 at home in Waxahachie, TX. She spent her final days surrounded by family and friends.

Christi was a servant. She served for 43 years as a physical therapist, helping countless numbers of patients, often going far beyond the call of duty for those in need. She served as a mother for 38 years, raising three sons of her own, & watching over dozens of friends and teammates that her boys brought home. Above all Christi served the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Her faith was evident, and she shared it unabashedly until her final breath.

Christi was born to Van and JoNell Kent on October 1st, 1953 in Clifton, TX. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her sons Kent (wife Emily), Jeffrey (wife Aimee), and Logan (wife Abby) Bell, grandson Lincoln, granddaughter Brady, sister and brother-in-law Caia and David McCullar, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

A private visitation was held Tuesday April 11th, 2023 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX. A family-only graveside service will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Norse, Texas at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Kent Family Memorial Scholarship Fund (previously awarded as the Van Kent Memorial Scholarship).
