Beverly Gunter    April 20, 1953  -  March 10, 2000

She was survived by her husband of 30 years Melvin R. Athey Jr., daughter, grandchildren, sister Jean and many friends!

We grew up together and were lifelong friends who lost touch after graduation. She was a great friend and we had some great times and some real funny ones too. I missed her and wanted to find out anything I could. Finally tracked her husband Melvin to Morton, Mississippi on 05/26/2014, I was stunned to hear she had left us at such an early age due to ovarian cancer. My prayers for her family and always for Bab's, or as I called her around the Waco Skating Rink, "Joanie Weston" after the Roller Derby Queen!
